The Siberian has a long and storied history, dating back at least a thousand years, and this beautiful Russian import has been gaining popularity in the world of purebred cats. Although still consider a rare breed, the Siberian has been making great strides, and those who have met the breed have a strong affinity and affection for this special cat.
The Siberian is considered to be a semi-longhaired cat, growing a rich full coat in the winter months while sporting a shorter and less dense coat when the weather begins to warm. The Siberian occurs in virtually every known color, and these cats are truly stunning to behold.
