| The Staffordshire Bull Terrier
The Staffordshire Bull Terrier is a small to medium size dog that comes from the same background as the Scottish Terrier. Typical males weigh between 27 _ to 37 1/2 pounds when fully grown; and typical females weigh between 24 to 34 pounds when fully grown. This breed of terrier reaches between 14 and 16 inches in height for a fully grown male, and about 14 inches in height for a fully grown female. However, their length is quite long.
The coat of a Staffordshire Bull Terrier is smooth and shiny in appearance. His coloring is usually red, brindle, black, or fawn with a smattering of white. The patches of white typically fall on his chest and head, especially around the eyes. Grooming this breed of dog is a very easy task due to his short hair.
The Staffordshire Bull Terrier is a courageous and loyal dog that will defend his owner in a heartbeat. This breed of dog is dependable and fearless. Additionally, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier is a wonderful watch dog alerting his master to strangers.
